Creating a Facebook account is essential for businesses and developers who want to obtain the API for Facebook Login. Follow these simple steps to set up your Facebook account, if you already have a Facebook account skip to the section:

1. Go to Facebook.com in your web browser.

2. Click on the green "Create New Account" button located on the right-hand side of the page.

3. Enter your first name, last name, mobile number or email address, password, date of birth, and gender into the appropriate fields.

4. Click "Sign Up".

5. You will receive a confirmation code through a text message or email depending on which option you chose earlier.

6. Enter this code into the field provided and click "Continue".

7. On the next screen, you'll be prompted to add friends by uploading contacts from your phonebook or manually searching for people you know.

8. Once you have completed adding friends (or skip this step), click "Next".

9. Add a profile picture of yourself by either uploading one from your device or taking one with your webcam.

10. Click "Save & Continue".

Now that you have created a Facebook account, you can follow these steps to obtain the API for Facebook Login:

1. Log in to your Facebook account using your email address/mobile number and password.

2. Go to the Facebook developers portal here.

3. Select "Build Connected Experiences" and choose "Web".

4. Create a new app by clicking on "Create App ID" and following the prompts.

5. Once you have created your app, go to "Settings" and select "Basic".

6. Under "App Domains", enter the domain name of your website or web application.

7. Under "Privacy Policy URL", enter the link to your privacy policy.

8. Under "Terms of Service URL", enter the link to your terms of service.

9. Under "Contact Email", enter the email address where Facebook can contact you if needed.

10. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on "Add Platform".

11. Choose "Website" as your platform.

12. Enter the URL of your website or web application under "Site URL".

13. Click on "Save Changes".

14. Go back to the dashboard for your app and select "Products" from the left-hand menu.

15. Scroll down until you see "Facebook Login" and click on it.

16. Follow the prompts to configure Facebook Login for your website or web application.
